MAN WITH CAMERA BRAIN
Stephen Wiltshire is a british autistic phenomenon. He flew over Rome (which he hadn’t seen before) for 45 minutes then was asked to sketch from memory the entire city– he did it in 3 days! ( Check him at Youtube ).
There are fierce debates still going on about the concept of the ‘extended mind’ between philosophers and psychologists. An example of the extended mind given was the internet. The philosophers believe that the net makes the users smarter.
One ability of the extended mind is seeing only what can be useful they argue. Maybe that was what Stephen did.
