‘CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker spoke with one of the survivors, Elyse Saugstad, who was enjoying a day of skiing in pristine back country with eight friends, all expert skiers, when suddenly the snow started to shift beneath her.
“‘We didn’t really hear anything and my partner started screaming, “Elise, avalanche! Elise, avalanche!’ and at that time I was being swept in. It happened so quickly,” Saugstad said.
‘”I will say that as it started my first thought was it isn’t that big. Within a second it immediately became much more,” Saugstad said. “It feels like maybe you’re in a washing machine and you’re being tossed and turned and it’s all white and you don’t know which way is up and down.”

Disneyland Pepper-Spray Fight [Video]
‘A man’s violent outburst turned out to be a scary episode for several park-goers at Disneyland on Saturday.
‘An expletive-ridden video posted on YouTube shows 53-year-old Glenn Horlacher, who was later arrested, attacking park employees outside the Tower of Terror ride at the Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, Calif.
‘The four-minute footage shows Horlacher punching and kicking employees and slurring his words, prompting onlookers to wonder aloud if he was drunk. Horlacher, who was pepper-sprayed several times during the tussle, was arrested on charges of assault and battery.
‘While it’s not clear what started the fight, it involved Horlacher as well as patrons, security and two bellhops, CBS News reported…’
