  1. I’ve considered ditching the home phone. It’s not like I really need it. But, realistically, it’s the lowest bill in the house, and it works in an emergency when the power is out. (We keep an old touch-tone phone for that). VoIP won’t work if your internet connection goes down.

    • Yes Dood. Most people ditch their landlines just because they have mobiles. They should read your comment. My father did because landline bills in Manila is high. Another mistake was that he sold the phone rights too.
